During the 17th century, France came up with a game called Roulette. Today Roulette is a popular and most played European-betting game in the world, as people prefer playing Roulette to other gambling games. The game gas gained tremendous popularity over the years. The most popular Roulette casino is Monaco in Monte Carlo.

Roulette is a simple, fascinating, and thrilling game. You can easily learn the rules. Following are some of the tips and rules that will help you play Roulette:

Roulette is of two types, European or French Roulette, and the other is American Roulette. European Roulette has 37 numbers, consisting of a zero and numbers from 1 to 36. While in American Roulette, there are 38 numbers comprising of a single zero (0), double zero (00), and numbers from 1 to 36. In short, American Roulette has an extra zero slot.

The payment or layout composition is identical. As the American Roulette has double zeros (00), the risk of losing the game is high. Hence, it is advisable to go for European Roulette game for gaining maximum profits. In short, European Roulette is advantageous over American Roulette.

Roulette is an interesting game. All it has is a wheel, ivory ball, and gambling outline. In American Roulette, the wheel moves around the spindle. The table has 12 columns and 3 rows. Numbers from 1 to 36 are placed in these rows and columns, and are allotted red and black color alternatively. Single zero (0) and double zeros (00) are allotted green color.

A Roulette table is for those, who want to play the game, and hence non-playing members cannot sit at the Roulette table, even if there is a single player at the table. The dealer will ask the non-player to accommodate somewhere else. Dealer spins the wheel, after you place your bets on maximum numbers.

Dealer gives different colored chips to gamblers as per their requirements. Chips exchanged for cash later, when you return them at the cash counter. This is only when you complete your entire gambling session. The dealer lays a marker on the number that you have gambled. Finally, dealer will take away the marker from the gambled figures.

As the final amount on the table surmounts the lowest amount, the dealer tosses the ball over the wheel. Once the dealer tosses the ball, you cannot place bets anymore. The dealer waives the hand over the Roulette table, which indicates no more betting. Neither can you exchange the bet nor can you place any other bet after the dealer throws the ball on the spinning wheel. Game is resumed only after the dealer settles the payouts with the winner.

Those who get the number close to the number arrived on the wheel are announced as the winners in the end.

2. Each gambler gets different colored chips, which are dissimilar and standard.

3. Before starting the game, the gambler has to buy certain standard chips specially made for this game.

4. A player gets 60 seconds to lay bets.

5. On winning, you can en-cash your colored chip for cash.

6. Players can gamble on groups, single integer, columns, rows, different colors, odd and even figures.

7. In the En-prison rule, if you place the money, but if the ball grounds on zero, you either can withdraw the bet or can go for an additional spin.

8. In the La Partage rule, your bet is reduced to 50%. In addition, you cannot depart the remainder in the prison. You also do not get an additional spin chance here.

Roulette bets are of two types:

1. Inside Bet: Inside Bets are numbers on the inner space of the Roulette table. You can gamble for each number.

2. Outside Bet: Around the layout, there are some numbers for various gambling options, which are jointly called as Outside Bets.

Roulette Inside Bet

While playing inside bet, your total bets need not exceed the lowest bet on that table. Suppose you are gambling at a minimum table of $5. You decide to bet on specific figures. You can gamble $1 on 5 various figures, or whatever combination you feel. However, it is important that you do not exceed the minimum amount on Roulette table.

Types of Inside Bets:

Straight-Up bet: This is a straightforward Roulette bet. You can gamble on any specific figure out of the 37 numbers, including zero. All you need to do is just place the colored chips on the number chosen. The payout you get is 35:1.

Split Bet: In this bet, you can gamble a single bet on two various numbers. Lay the colored chip on the line that splits the two figures.  The payout you get is 17:1.

Street Bet: In this bet, you can gamble on three various numbers. The payout is 11:1. You can lay colored chips on the outer line of any consequent row. If you are planning to gamble on numbers 1, 2, and 3 at the same time, lay chips on the outer line of 3, then this bet will offer payout of 11 to 1.

Corner Bet: It is also known as Square Bet. Here you can gamble on four adjacent figures by laying the colored chips, where all the four figures meet. The payout is 8:1.

Five Number Bet: European Roulette table does not have this bet, as they have only single zero (0).  This bet is only available with American Roulette Table.

Roulette Outside Bets

These bets stay outside the actual playing surface area of 37 integers. The various kinds of outside bets are as follows:

Red or Black Bet: While playing this bet, you are gambling that a specific color, black or red, will surface. The payout is 1:1. You have to lay your chips on either black or red diamond on the Roulette table.

Odd or Even Bet: On a European Roulette table, this bet implies that you are gambling on the even or odd winning number. Lay your colored chips in the central region of the square marked with Even or Odd numbers. The payout is 1:1.

High or Low Bet: This bet permits the gambler to stake on whether the subsequent winning figure will appear in the top 1 to 18 numbers, or in the bottom 19 to 36 numbers of the European Roulette table. Lay your chips accordingly in the boxes marked from 1 to 18 or 19 to 36. Here, zero (0) is the winning integer. Accordingly, the cash gets divided and is repaid to the player. The payout that you get is 1:1.

Columns Bet: Gambling is done at the bottom of every column. Here zero (0) is not incorporated. If any figure from the column is spun, you win the bet. However, in case of zero (0), you lose the bet. The payout is 2:1.

Dozens Bet: The Roulette wheel has 36 integers or three dozen numbers, which does not include zero (0). Accordingly the groups are formed. You can gamble on the first group, which contains numbers from 1 to 12. The second group contains numbers from 13 to 24, whereas the third group contains numbers from 25 to 36. The dozens bet lets you place a bet on any of these groups.

Here, you need to place your chips in the corresponding surface area. It has to be on the left hand side of the Roulette table. If you get zero after spinning, you lose the bet. The payout that you get is 2:1.

Always play the game with proper rules to reap maximum profits from your bets.
